Here’s the step by step instructions to help you create my original tangle:
VITRAL combines three of my favorite Zentangle elements: square grids, petals and auras. I created it for a workshop I taught in May 2024 over at Caype, a beautiful art store in Vitoria-Gasteiz (northern Spain).
This tangle could be considered a variation of Eye-Wa by Zentangle. I think it leaves a lot of room to experiment: you can draw the initial grid with organic lines, fill in every other band in between the auras, add color inside the petals… it’s all up to you!
